Amybeth McNulty (born in Dublin in Ireland) is a famous Irish Canadian actress. She was best-known for her role as Anne Shirley in CBC/Netflix's drama series Anne with an E. It is based upon Lucy Maud Montgomery's 1908 novel Anne of Green Gables. Amybeth McNulty, born 7 November 2001, is the daughter of an Irish father and a Canadian father and an Irish mother. She was raised within the island of Donegal in Ireland. She has both Irish citizenship as well as Canadian citizenship. Her hair is naturally blonde. Anne has a close relationship to Gilbert Blythe. Gilbert is a year older that Anne who was forced to drop out of school when his father was unwell. Gilbert taunted Anne by calling her Carrots during their first school meeting. Amybeth McNulty plays Anne, an unwed and orphaned teenager with a history that is filled with violence in orphanages and homes. Anne thirteen-year-old orphan living in a hostile environment for most of her childhood is sent by mistake to the aging Cuthbert siblings on Prince Edward Island. When the show ends the year is 1919, and the characters are happy; Gilbert is 55 and still sincerely attracted to Anne of Green Gables.
